Operation and maintenance of 2 oil production sites in Chad, Mangara & Badila, for PETROCHAD
Chad - 2013 - 2015
SPIE Oil & Gas Services has signed early January a contract for the Operation and Maintenance (O&M) of two onshore production sites in Chad for Petrochad, a subsidiary of Caracal Energy Inc.
Caracal Energy Inc. is a Canadian oil company with only interest in Chad. In 2011 the company took three “Production Sharing Contracts” (PSC).
This ambitious project covers two distinct sites, Mangara in the North and Badila in the South, including a tie-in on the Chad Cameroon pipe.
The first mobilization occurred in February 2013 and the local recruitment began in April 2013 for a first extraction of oil in mid-June 2013.
Under this contract for Operation and Maintenance for the two production sites, SPIE Oil & Gas Services provides the Pre-commissioning, Commissioning and training of local personnel (37 expatriates and 53 Chadian).
For this purpose SPIE Oil & Gas Services is setting up a branch in Chad in order to fulfil its contractual requirement. This contract is for us the opportunity to start up a new country with a significant turn over.
